Our Early Explorers Program will be launched at Pearls Academy:

    23521 Overland Drive

    Suite 165

    Sterling, VA 20166

What are L-Lab's operating days and hours?

Our first day is January 5, 2026.

We operate Monday-Friday, 3:30-6:30pm, with extended day options to 7:00pm

We are open on many holidays and all LCPS teacher workdays!

Is transportation provided from other schools to your center?

Transport is available from select nearby Loudoun County schools. Please reach out to enrollment@learnwithllab.com for more information about our transportation options.

    What languages do you offer?

We currently offer Arabic and Spanish, with availability and schedules subject to enrollment. We are looking to expand language selections, so please contact us to discuss!

Will there be time for my child to do their school homework?

Yes, our program builds in time for students to finish their school homework and our staff members are happy to help as needed.

    Are snacks provided?

Yes, for our after school programs, we provide nutritious snacks that align with USDA's guidelines. For full-day camps, we provide a breakfast snack, lunch, and afternoon snack.

Do children have to remain in the after-school program until 6:30 pm?

Not necessarily. While our after school program runs until 6:30 pm (or 7:00pm) to support families who need later pickup, you’re welcome to pick up your child earlier if that works better for your schedule. We design our schedule so that the core learning activities happen earlier in the program, so your child will benefit even if they are picked up before the end.

Do we need to do anything extra if our child already attends Pearls Academy during the day?

Nope- we seamlessly transition Pearls Academy students from dismissal directly to the after school program. You just pick up your student(s) from our after school program.

What will my child learn in the L-Lab curriculum?

We are currently finalizing the full curriculum, but our program is built around a set of key learning objectives and core lesson areas designed for children ages 5-9. These include:

    • Language immersion (Arabic or Spanish) to strengthen communication and cultural awareness
    • Life skills such as collaboration, critical thinking and personal growth
    • Enrichment through hands-on projects that complement daily school‐day learning
    • Social‐emotional development: building confidence, resilience, and friendships
Each unit will be structured so your child gains meaningful learning and growth even if they don’t participate for the full program duration. We’ll share detailed lesson outlines with enrolled families once the curriculum is finalized.

How are students placed in groups?

We maintain small class sizes and group students by age and language proficiency so each child receives targeted instruction in a supportive environment.

How does L-Lab maintain program quality and effective supervision?

We operate with small group sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios, which allow our staff to deliver instruction with precision, maintain strong oversight, and uphold the highest standards of program quality.

How much do L-Lab programs cost?

Our tuition is found here. Please note we offer a limited number of need-based scholarships so contact our team for more information.

Is L-Lab licensed or exempt from licensing?

L-Lab fully qualifies for the Virginia Department of Education licensing exemption as an out-of-school-time program per Virginia Code § 22.1-289.030. As part of this exemption, we meet all state-mandated requirements, including comprehensive background checks for every staff member.
